FabLabShow is India’s first Science Theatre in the form of live fun science stage shows that can create curiosity, instill a love for science and be super entertaining for children between
the ages of 8 to 16 years!
It is a 60-90 minute fun filled extravaganza based on exciting science, high levels of interaction and experiments done
at never-seen-before scales.
At the FabLabShow you get to see science in action using interactive demonstrations, presentations, videos and
innovative structures and exhibits; many which are completely original and designed specially for the show.
At the end of the show, children leave excited about science, Adults wish they had something like this when they were young, and, teachers enjoy the theoretical concepts come to life.

The general structure of the show has about 12-15 experiments and presentations which cover 5-6 topics or science principles.

Each set of experiments start off small and quickly scale up to create crazy visuals or just amazing wow moments!

Besides the science, FabLabShow has decided to go with a Steampunk look which was chosen because it epitomizes a hand-on kind of creativity from a retro-futuristic fictional era where wild ideas were given a chance.

OUR HOSTS!
Our quirky human host is a science geek who doesn’t seem to know too much about science, but is super excited to try things out!
He is curious, goofy and always up for whatever experiments are thrown at him, sometimes quite literally!
He also has a unique ability to simplify concepts once he understands them and find everyday examples quite quickly!
The Human Host
CHYP is a charming, funny and know-it-all robot, who is the expert in all things science.
CHYP has a slightly snarky sense of humour and is always trying to get the Human Host to try new experiments, encouraging young minds to do the same.
While CHYP is always making fun of the host, and also secretly trying to take over the world, he loves to explain scientific concepts, and find new ways to excite his audience!
The Robot Host - Chyp
The one-upmanship interactions between the Host and CHYP make the show really fun to watch while the experiments create learning and curiosity.
Over the last 4 years and across 30+ shows, they have left a lasting impression on a variety of audiences of all ages and spanning diverse geographies, from multiple shows big and small across Goa as well as, for 2 months on Cordelia Cruise’s Flagship Cruise – The Empress.
HOW DOES the show FLOW?

The show is designed in a way, where as the experiments progress, the children innately learn the discovery and thinking process behind it.

The experiments are layered to introduce the children to the concept of the show and then slowly move them from being observers to active participants.

Once an experiment is performed, the host asks ‘That was amazing, But CHYP how did that happen?’ Initially CHYP outright explains the concept with the help of some simple graphics.

The host then reiterates the concept in a simplified manner and follows it up with practical real-world examples of the same and then the experiment is either scaled up or they move on to the next one.

As the show goes along, the children start to pre-empt the answers and start interacting with the hosts to provide their own theories and applications.

This encourages them to innately be curious and start thinking scientifically, besides actually learning the basics of the concept itself.
